College in a Suitcase

It’s Just Been . . .

Posted on: January 11, 2009

One of those nights. I couldn’t fall asleep last night. It completely sucked. Especially because I was completely exhausted. Hopefully tonight will be better.

Anyways, I’m going to continue on with my series taken from the article written here. The next one is

“I will know more tonight than I did when I woke up this morning.”

I think this is absolutely true. Just think about it for the moment. Maybe when you wake up, you don’t have a lot of time to think, but just think about how much free time you have during the day. “But I don’t have any free time!” Trust me when I say, you do have free time to think about these things. When you’re waiting in line at the cafeteria, when you’re waiting for your prof to get there, and when you’re waiting for an event to start. Sure, these aren’t huge amounts of time, but if you use these down times to just think about what you’re writing and play a little bit of the what if game, I think you will find yourself with at least one decent idea.

So what do you think? Take those few minutes just to think and let yourself go crazy with the thinking! Remember, you don’t have to use what you think about, but if you will have gained just one nugget of information, you will have farther to go and more to work with when you start writing that day.
